Fixing the Microsoft Xbox 360 Red Ring of Death

By Danny Arroyo

I fixed my Xbox 360's red ring of death in 25 minutes, and I'm about to tell you how. Did you know that the Microsoft Xbox 360 "Red Ring of Death" rate is reportedly over 50%? That's just stupid. In a survey of 5,000 console owners, 54.6% of them had been hit with the red ring of death! Completely unacceptable.

So last week I had some friends over, and we were in the middle of a Madden marathon. I was really excited and we were all having a good time. During the 3rd quarter of one of our games, out of nowhere, everything froze up on me.

There it was when we tried turning it back on - the three red rings. I couldn't believe it. The thought of going into football season without my 360 really, really bugged me.

What a way to ruin a night. My friend Scott was over and told me that he heard Microsoft is recently taking 8 weeks and more to fix it, and they often slap you with some unexpected bills. The average price of this can be up to $100.

I decided to call my friend James. He knows everything about these things. He pointed me to a guide that his brother had used to fix his Xbox 360 in less than an hour.

The cool thing this guide is that they guaranteed I'd have my Xbox 360 fixed in under an hour, or I'd get all of my money back with no questions asked. After checking out the site, I decided it was worth taking my chances for a small price compared to what it might cost me otherwise.

I don't consider myself technically skilled. They really broke it down into an easy step-by-step approach, and 25 minutes into it, my Xbox 360 was back to life. It was really pretty easy.

I don't trust Microsoft's products anymore, but hopefully my red ring days are in the past. If it does come back (I'm sure it will with my luck), I have this guide to get me through the issues, and I'll probably have it fixed in half the time next time around.

If you're in the same boat that I was just in, check it out. I can just about guarantee you'll be up and running within an hour, and you'll have your money back if you're not. There's nothing to lose. And Microsoft, I plead with you to fix your products. This is unacceptable.
