Today Im going to speak about famous roulette players. Ever since the creation of the game people have tried to beat the game and very few have succeeded. This is because the casino has an edge which is impossible to beat built into the layout of the game.
On the rare occasion that someone does manage to beat roulette, they quickly become well known amongst fellow roulette players and casino fans in general.
Famous roulette players win money because they look for wheel bias and then exploit it. What this means is that they will study a roulette wheel see which numbers appear the most times and then bet on them.
The most well known famous roulette player is Joseph Jagger. He became famous for winning a six figure sum; a huge amount considering that it was the year 1873 when he won. This was at the Monte Carlo casino, and he won by applying the system described above.
Another famous player is Charles Wells. Just a few years after Jagger he visited the same casino and applied the exact same system and he also walked away with a huge sum of money. It is amazing that the same casino got taken by the same system twice.
A more recent successful player is Gonzalo Garcia-Pedayo, in 1990; he spent time studying the roulette wheels at a casino in Madrid, Spain, and put the same system into practice.
Gonzalo and his family visited casinos all over Europe and ended up in Las Vegas, all the while using the same system. He retired however from this however in 1994 due to health problems caused by the stress of constantly trying to avoid being figured out by the casinos.
Possibly the most fortunate, and stupid, famous roulette player has to be Ashley Revell who placed his entire life savings of well over $100,000 on red. As luck would have it, red came up, and he doubled his money. I dont have to tell you though how ridiculously crazy he must have been to do this though, and what position he would be in now if black had come up instead
